After getting some multitouch dispositives, iphone, ipad, ipod, htc desire HD and multitouch screen computers like viliv s10, it is about time to programming for Touch Screen devices.

Thats why i got started with ActionScript 3.0 , c# and java.

In this post I will be writing about the ActionScript 3.0 programming.
This will allow you to test the code online if you have a "non-apple" touch screen device.

Mosaic Font Generatorspeak

Long time ago I needed to create a text message where the font was filled with icons.

The idea was quite simple, find a point over the text, and then expand a rectangle checking that the four corners are still overlapping the text.

Now I decide that is time to use bitmaps, and blendModes, to allow not only rectangles, but any other shape over our text, and this is the result.

2D Water Ripples With Perspectivespeak

Lab : Drawing water ripples with ActionScript 3.0.

Till now, all methods for simulate 2D water ripples that I found in actionscript, are based on the same principle.

A simple and relatively fast algorithm, that I found here.

The base of this algorithm, is the relation between the speed of the wave and their previous values of position. For that, we need to store the last two states of the water in two arrays.
